HIV infections are rising at an alarming rate among youth.  This session is an opportunity for participants to learn more about HIV and about statistics involving infections in the state of Iowa.  

10:30-10:45AM - BREAK

10:45-12:00PM - Breakout Sessions 

Participants will breakout to different groups with a moderator for small group discussions and have a chance to network with their peers. 

12:00-1:00PM - LUNCH 

Lunch will be provided for all participants

1:00-2:30PM -  Reaching Out

GSAs and other groups from schools will discuss social marketing strategies they can implement. 

2:30-2:45PM - BREAK

2:45-4:00PM - Acting Up

Panel of Iowa leaders discussing ways youth and schools can become more involved in preventing and educating others about HIV.   What legal issues exist around HIV?
